Don Cherry Thinks Kyle Dubas Did Not Do A Good Job in Toronto and Doesn't Deserve the Praise
Kyle Dubas had his reunion with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday as the Penguins took on the Leafs for Hockey Night in Canada. Dubas, having started his career as a GM with the Leafs, was the topic of discussion for much of the Panel during intermission, which was mostly positive about his successes in Toronto.
Had a good laugh watching the panel fumble around trying to say how geaat Dubas was and all the things he did. Then leave it to Bieksa to tell some truth. He tried, but the only thng that matters is winning, and the consecutive playoff losses is what stands out.

Now, Don Cherry has taken to his podcast to discuss why he thinks the praise is overdone, and that Dubas isn't deserving of it.
"I don't think he did a good job," said Cherry. "I don't understand. The salary cap... he maxed that out, he didn't get by the second round, I just don't think he did a good job." - Don Cherry on Kyle Dubas
Don Cherry Calls Out the Hockey Night in Canada Panel
Cherry also went on in his podcast to call out the Hockey Night in Canada Panel for their thoughts, as he thinks they are being too nice because they know Dubas and will run into him later on.
"They are gonna meet Dubas in the hall, what are they gonna do say something bad about him?" asked Cherry.
Cherry is known for his loud takes, but this one might be right. Dubas' only success was re-signing major players in the core. However, when it comes down to it if you don't win a championship, it doesn't matter.
