The Seattle Kraken have signed Chandler Stephenson to a seven-year contract, stirring their rivalry with the Vegas Golden Knights, with whom he won a Stanley Cup in 2023.

The rivalry between the Knights and the Kraken was already a tense one, but things just blew up thanks to recent news that Chandler Stephenson of Vegas, will be signed into the Kraken.
Expecting Chandler Stephenson to sign with #SeaKraken on 7 year deal

The deal is worth around $6.25 million per year, according to Elliotte Friedman:
Chandler Stephenson 7 x around $6.25M Seattle

Stephenson was a rock last season and a pretty big reason the Knights made it so far into the playoffs, as he clocked in an impressive 51 goals throughout the entire season. It will be interesting to see what a multi Stanley cup champion can bring to the Kraken's.
Now that the Kraken have a strong second line centre position, everyone's wondering what use they'd have for Matty Beniers, who wouldn't be of much use anymore.
