Canada is unlikely to include Shane Wright in their lineup for the 2024 World Junior Hockey Championship.

Ron Francis, the General Manager of the Seattle Kraken, believes the 19-year-old forward, though eligible, will not join the tournament.

During a press conference, Francis expressed:

"I've already had discussions with Hockey Canada about that, so they kind of know where I stand. For me, he's kind of been there, done that, so I don't see him being part of the World Juniors this year. He's actually up with us now."

Last year in Halifax, Wright was the captain forTeam Canada, likely marking his final Junior Tournament.
