During a recent NHL game, a potentially hazardous incident occurred involving Seattle Kraken's Eeli Tolvanen and an official, Furman South.

Close Call for Official in Kraken-Kings Game

In the game between the Seattle Kraken and the LA Kings, Kraken forward Eeli Tolvanen accidentally collided with referee Furman South while pursuing the puck. The impact sent South towards the boards, and although he managed to avert a direct head-on collision, the incident visibly shook him up.

Tolvanen checked on South's condition before continuing the game. Fortunately, South was able to shake off the impact and continued officiating the game.

Previous Injury Incident Involving Furman South

This is not the first time this season that South has experienced an in-game injury. He previously took a stick to the face during a game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the San Jose Sharks on November 10, 2023.
