Two NHL Teams Make Big Moves With Their Coaching Staff

In the aftermath of lackluster seasons, the St. Louis Blues and Anaheim Ducks have both missed their chance to compete in this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs. As the 2022/2023 NHL season draws to a close, both teams faced the media to discuss their disappointing results and future plans.

Coaching Changes



In a surprising turn of events, both the Blues and Ducks unveiled major changes regarding their coaching staffs.

The Anaheim Ducks revealed that head coach Dallas Eakins will not be returning for his fifth season at the helm. Meanwhile, the St. Louis Blues, who have amassed a wealth of draft capital following the departures of key players Ryan O'Reilly, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Ivan Barbashev, are gearing up for a swift retooling of their roster. Earlier today, the team confirmed that assistant coaches Craig MacTavish and Mike Van Ryn will not be back behind the Blues' bench next season.
