The Pittsburgh Penguins suffered another loss, falling 2-1 to the Los Angeles Kings despite leading 1-0 throughout the game.
This losing streak seriously jeopardizes their chances of making the playoffs, currently sitting 7 points away from a qualifying spot with 30 games left to play.
Jake Guentzel, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has turned down a lucrative offer, leading to trade rumors.
The Penguins are seeking a return similar to the
Claude Giroux trade, asking for a 1st round pick, a 3rd round pick, and a young established player.
Despite his injury, Guentzel remains a coveted asset on the market, potentially becoming the top forward available at the trade deadline.
At 29, he has scored 22 goals and 30 assists this season, establishing his market value.
