In a major update, insider Elliotte Friedman announced that Kyle Dubas placed Colin White on waivers.

White was drafted 21st overall in 2015 by the Ottawa Senators.

He played most of the season in the AHL, where he tallied 10 points, including five goals, in 21 games with the Wilkes-Barry/Scranton Penguins. In Pittsburgh, he played 11 games but didn't score any points.

In 24 hours, we will find out whether the 27-year-old from Boston is claimed by another team or clears waivers to return to the AHL.

Updates will follow.
