Penguins Fans Chant 'We Want Fleury' As Wild Visit Penguins

The Minnesota Wild visited the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight. What makes the trip extra relevant is the fact that the Wild still have former Penguins fan-favorite Marc-Andre Fleury. When fans saw that he was not playing, they shared their thoughts about the decision from the stands.

Marc-Andre Fleury is one of the more beloved players around the NHL. Penguins fans though have a mixed relationship with him as some are still upset that he was taken away from the team in the Vegas expansion draft. Regardless though, one thing remains clear. Whenever Fleury is in town, Penguins fans want to watch him play.




It is clear that there are still fans in Pittsburgh that adore Fleury as can be seen by one young fan who got to take a picture with the goaltending legend during pre-game warmups.

Fleury And Fans Alike Disappointed He Did Not Get The Start Against Pittsburgh

When asked about the goaltending situation tonight, Fleury was very professional and understanding about the decision, but he did express some disappointment that he wasn't given the opportunity to start the game.


The main reason Fleury did not get the start tonight is the fact that the Wild have a back-to-back so they will need Fleury to start tomorrow against the Boston Bruins.


Fans also expressed their disappointment at the fact that they missed an opportunity to see the legend play in Pittsburgh again.



All of this just goes to show that Marc-Andre Fleury is still one of the most beloved players in the entire National Hockey League.
