Crosby Poised to Hit Multiple Milestones this Season

Crosby is already one of the all-time greats in NHL history. He is a household name in Canada because of his hockey achievements, from Stanley Cups to Gold Medal-winning goals. This season, he is about to cement his name in the record books with these major milestones.

1,000 Assists

Crosby is currently sitting at 952 career assists. He needs just 48 this season to reach the 1,000-assist marker. This is likely his easiest milestone for the season, as he has been able to get to 60 more than 7 times in his career. While 48 is no simple task, Crosby still has more than enough to his game to reach the number.

1,600 Points

This will be a little more difficult for Crosby, as he needs 98 points to reach 1,600 all-time. Currently sitting at 1,502, Crosby has just passed the hard-to-get 1,500 points. While 1,600 is nice, not reaching it won't tarnish his hall-of-fame resume.

All Time Points Getter

Crosby is also trailing close behind top-10 points in NHL history. Phil Esposito currently sits in 10th place at 1,590 points, just 88 ahead of Crosby. If he can manage to get 2 more than his lucky 87 this season, Crosby will move up to being a top 10 points scorer in NHL history, cementing him as one of the best to ever play.
