Senators Captain Ejected After Getting Into It With Goalie Following Penalty Shot

Senators captain Brady Tkachuk has a reputation for being a bit of a pest to play against. Last night he was in peak form as he made a fool of himself going after Carolina goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov.

Tkachuk Gets Ejected Following Penalty Shot

The Senators captain was awarded a penalty shot last night late in the 3rd period with his team down 4-1. When he went to take the penalty shot attempt, Carolina goalie Pyotr Kochetkov decided to go for an aggressive poke check. Tkachuk apparently did not like the move as he barked at him on his way back to the bench.




It looked like Tkachuk was trying to challenge the netminder to a fight and he looked like he was agreeing, but the officials made sure to get in the way before the players contacted each other. The refs decided to give Tkachuk a misconduct as a precaution, to make sure the players do not get involved again later in the contest.
