The New York Rangers announced on Tuesday afternoon that they have put a seasoned forward on waivers.

Rangers Add Tyler Pitlick to Waiver Wire

Elliotte Friedman from Sportsnet reports that Tyler Pitlick has been waived.

Following his absence from Monday's matchup against the Flames as a healthy scratch, Pitlick is now being moved to the minors, assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed. Over his recent 23 appearances, the winger has recorded a single point, firing 24 shots on goal, delivering 49 hits, and making eight blocks.

The Rangers might consider recalling Pitlick for the upcoming Thursday game against the Canadiens, or they could look to elevate another talent from their AHL affiliate in Hartford.

What are your thoughts on his chances of being claimed?
