Florida Panthers defenseman and new Stanley Cup champion Josh Mahura made a heartfelt gesture during his day with the Stanley Cup by bringing it to the gravesite of the Humboldt Broncos players who tragically died in the 2018 bus crash. Major respect to him for that.
Honouring the past!

#stanleycup champion Josh Mahura takes some time from his day to never forget!
Mahura wasn't initially eligible to have his name on the Cup, as he only appeared in 30 games due to injuries. The rules state player needs to appear in at least one Stanley Cup Final game or 41 regular-season games to earn that honor.

The Florida Panthers have been immortalized on Lord Stanley 🏆
However, the Panthers petitioned for an injury exemption, which the NHL granted, ensuring Mahura's name was engraved.
Great day today! It's not everyday a Stanley Cup champion shows you his name on the Cup. Congrats and thanks to Josh Mahura for sharing the Cup with so many kids, big and small today, including me and 2/3 of my kids.
Mahura signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Kraken in NHL Free agency following his fellow blueliner and championed teammate,
Brandon Montour.
