The Oilers and the Golden Knights' series is now even after Edmonton was able to win yesterday's game.

But the game was not without its share of tension. As the game was close to an end, something troubling happened.

Connor McDavid goes after Pietrangelo after a dirty slash on Draisaitl

Alex Pietrangelo delivered a vicious slash to Leon Draisaitl, who was making a last effort to score on the empty net. He got a five-minute major penalty on the play.

After the slash, McDavid went after Pietrangelo.

This is what the captain said after the game:

"I'd like to see him suspended. That's as intent to injure as you can get."

Fortunately, Draisaitl appears to be fine, but the NHL Department of Player Safety should examine this incident closely.

We should know more in the next hours as the situation develops.
