The Detroit Red Wings are fighting for their lives in the Eastern Conference playoff race, and on Sunday, Jeff Petry showed that fight against the Buffalo Sabres.
With the Sabres down 3-1 in the first period against the Detroit Red Wings, Dylan Cozens was looking to inspire his team to a comeback, and that resulted in a very quick fight with veteran Jeff Petry.
The fight certainly didn't last long, as only a few punches were thrown before both men found themselves on the ice, but even so, they once again brought the crowd to their feet.
This wasn't the only fight of the period, showing that even though the Sabres are out of the playoff spot, they want to make life hard on their division rival. Neither Cozens nor Petry are renowned fighters, but with fighting becoming a huge topic in the NHL this season, it appears everyone wants to get in on the act, and that's a big win for fans.
