According to reports, Jordie Benn is signing a PTO (Player Tryout) with the Dallas Stars.

He will join his brother Jamie who is the captain of the Dallas Stars. While this is not a guaranteed roster spot for Jordie it is another opportunity to play in the NHL. This will be Jordie's second stint with the Stars after playing with them in
Dallas Adds Depth On Defense
With this signing the Dallas Stars have added depth to their organization. Benn will add more experience to a defensive group led by Miro Heiskanen, Ryan Suter, Thomas Harley, and Nils Lundkvist. Benn could have a shot at making the final roster as the depth on defense in Dallas is not anything to write home about.
If Benn does not make the Stars he could potentially sign a two-way deal and play with their AHL affiliate in Texas. Either way, we will likely get to see at least one game of the Benn brothers together in the preseason.
