The Oilers play the Avalanche three times this season, but we will have to wait quite some time to see if anything comes of this as they don't play their first game against each other until March 16th. By then there is a good chance everyone will have forgotten about this, but knowing Kane, he may just fight anyways.
It should be a big season for the Oilers who could be the favorites to come out of the Pacific division. Kane is still looking to play a full 82 game season for the first time in his career. If he can do that, he should be a major piece for the Oiler's dangerous offense. That offense will of course be lead by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, two of the best active players, and arguably two of the best players of all time, who have yet to win a Stanley Cup.
