For Bedard, he has a point in every game he has played so far. In his first game against Sidney Crosby, he tallied an assist in the win. Since then he has scored his first career goal and added another assist.

In advance of the game, Connor Bedard was asked about his thoughts on Matthews.
"He's someone that I feel like pioneered a certain shot. He's got 6 [goals] in 2 [games], so he's doing something right. Ever since he came into the league, he's been someone I've loved to watch...so I'm excited to go against him."
It's wild to think that there are now stars in the NHL who have grown up watching Auston Matthews play. This is the reality though as Connor Bedard was 11 when Matthews entered the league.
Now Bedard will look to use what he has learned from watching Matthews against him. This game could be a one-on-one shooting fest between Bedard and Matthews and it would still be highly entertaining.
It will be interesting to see if the protege can be the original when it comes to the toe drag snapshot.
