Earlier today, the Chicago Blackhawks organization announced that their young star Connor Bedard fractured his jaw last night in a game against the New Jersey Devils.

If you missed it, here's what happened:


Nick Foligno was also injured during the same game, in an attempt to avenge Bedard.


"UPDATE: We have placed Connor Bedard (fractured jaw) and Nick Foligno (fractured left finger) on injured reserve."

Blackhawks fans were eager to hear news about Bedard's injury.

Insider Elliotte Friedman shared additional details about the situation.

"No timeline for Connor Bedard's recovery/return as of now...we will see how imaging and next few days go."


It's unfortunate to see the rookie miss games, as he had a great first half of the season, scoring 33 points in 39 games.
