There's a new twist in the saga between Sam Bennett's hit on Brad Marchand during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs series between the Florida Panthers and the Boston Bruins.
The Cats routed the Beantown boys on Friday, 6-2 for a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven encounter.
Yet the main storyline was a vicious hit which sidelined Bruins captain Brad Marchand for the rest of game three and now he's officially out for game four and likely five too. Bennett, who landed a flurry of punches on Marchand, is likely to face some heat as the Panthers head into game four at TD Garden.
A closer look at a new angle reveals what initially seems like a clean shoulder-to-shoulder hit, but upon closer inspection, it's clear that Bennett threw a quick punch to Marchand's face.
