Brad Marchand levels Matthew Tkachuk with monster hit

Matthew Thachuk of the Florida Panthers has shown brilliant flashes of skill in the past, especially with between the legs moves, but Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand had other plans for Tkachuk on Wednesday night.
The Panthers forward tried a between the legs move to go around Marchand on the penalty kill and Marchand absolutely flattened Tkachuk, sending the forward flying into the boards.
The massive hit was a message to Tkachuk and the Panthers to not take the Bruins lightly, even after the Panthers had much more rest between series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Contrary to some of Marchand's past plays in his NHL career, this hit was completely clean, a great open ice hit on a player trying to get a little too fancy while his team was short a man.
Marchand is a going to have to continue his strong play from round 1 if the Bruins want to have a chance at beating the high scoring Florida offence.
