Former NHLer Defends Marchand After Hit
Former NHL veteran and captain of the Buffalo Sabres Craig Rivet came to the defense of Brad Marchand. Rivet believes the blame in on Jokiharju for not preparing for the hit better.
Dirty?? Really? Go watch this in slow motion. Watch jokiharju!! He sees the hit coming from Marchand and totally chickens out of contact. My god
Craig Rivet echoes a sentiment shared the other night by Flyers' coach John Tortorella who thinks players do not know how to take hits anymore.
The NHL is finding itself in a debate about physicality more and more as time goes on. This won't be the last time fans will debate if the intentions of a player were dirty or not.
