The Boston Bruins have just announced that they will be scratching one of their top players for tonight after an off-ice incident.

DeBrusk Scratched for Missing Team Meeting

It has just been reported that Jake DeBrusk, a former first-round pick by the Bruins, will miss tonight's game as punishment for being late to a team meeting.
Per Coach Montgomery, Jake DeBrusk was late to a team meeting and will not play tonight in Los Angeles.
DeBrusk has yet to put up a point in three games played with the Bruins so far this year. He is coming off a decent year last year, recording 50 points in 64 games played.

Fans Quick to Point Out Comparison to Tyler Seguin

The story is eerily similar for Bruins fans of their previous star, Tyler Seguin, who famously missed a team breakfast which resulted in him being scratched, and added to the justification for later being traded from the team.

DeBrusk is in a contract year with the Bruins, as he is set to become an RFA when his contract expires after this season.
