Blockbuster Trade for the Kings and Bruins

Even after Linus Ullmark won the Vezina, the Bruins have been looking for possible trade partners. These concerns have been significantly influenced by the Bruin's financial salary cap limitations, particularly in light of the recently signed contract for Jeremy Swayman, which has a $3.475 million cap hit for just this season.

Bruins Goaltending

There is a strong argument for Jeremy Swayman to take over as the Bruins' starting goaltender sooner rather than later. This is how many people see Swayman's future with the team.

The Bruins are aware of there centre situation, but they appear to be waiting for more adversity before addressing the issue. Although the initial results have been better than most anticipated, it's important to keep in mind that it's still early. However, the top three centres on the team Pavel Zacha, Matthew Poitras, and Charlie Coyle are all being scrutinized, especially with low scoring totals to start the year.

LA Kings' Return

The Los Angeles Kings, on the other hand, are having difficulty with their goalie position. Despite having a strong defensive club, they have a combined $2.5 million for the two goalies to start the season. However, problems have already begun to surface, and goaltending seems to be the Kings' top need, with no obvious remedy in sight.

The Kings have three top-six centres, so there is room for a possible move, particularly with Blake Lizotte acting as the fourth-line centre now and having the ability to perform like he did last year in the 3C role.

Sending Linus Ullmark to Los Angeles in return for Phillip Danault, with other assets involed, represents a potential blockbuster trade for both parties. The Bruins have long prized having a two-way centerman of Danault's calibre on the team. This trade addresses the most important issues for each team and makes sense from a positional and cap perspective.
