This comes after the Bruins themselves hinted at a captaincy announcement on their own Twitter.
Marchand has been a Bruin his entire career, playing 947 games with the club. His knowledge of what it takes to get it done should fill the gaps left by the retirement of previous Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron.
