The Philaelphia Flyers have acquired Defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a second round pick from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Forward Cutter Gauthier, both teams have officially confirmed.





Gauthier, 19, is days removed from a gold medal at the 2024 World Juniors for the United States, tied for 1st in scoring with 12 Points, with 2 Goals and 10 Assists, named top forward. According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, Gauthier informed the Flyers he did not wish to play for the organization.


Gauthier, selected 5th Overall by Philadelphia in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, has 13 Goals & 23 Points in 17 Games in the NCAA for the Boston College Eagles.

Drysdale, 21, is one of the top young defensemen in the National Hockey League, with 5 points in 10 games for Anaheim since returning from a shoulder injury. Drysdale was selected 6th by the Ducks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
